Speakers for the weekend event June 22 to 24, 2007 celebrating the legacy of Dr. Sidney B. Simon at the Sheraton Conference Center in Valley Forge Pennsylvania.

This announcement is worth waiting for ----- You won't want to miss this celebration and the speakers during June 22 to 24 at the Sheridan Park Ridge Hotel and Conference Center in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The speakers scheduled for this event are among many who have benefited from the ripples of Sid Simon's legacy. They will be speaking in Valley Forge at The 80th Birthday Celebration: Honoring the legacy of Dr. Sidney B. Simon. Come and bring your friends; learn about the ripples of influence Dr. Simon has had in the areas of administration, counseling, education, ethics, personal health, music, nursing, over all wellness, race relations, facilitating workshops, and survival skills. Our speakers demonstrate that it is possible to live true to personal values by their walk, talk, presentations, writing for publication, and counseling. The hourly breakout sessions this weekend will be enriching, exciting, lively and lots of fun.

Program opens Friday night at 7 P.M. with singing by John Simon, Big Ernie Horner and Diana Neri. Active participation will facilitate reconnecting with old friends, and making new friends. The evening will close at 10:00 P.M. after skin nourishment.

Speakers on Saturday June 23, 2007 will begin at 9 A.M. and continue until 3:30. Then there will be a break for resting, visiting, and preparing for the birthday banquet celebration at 6:30 P.M. Saturday night. The registration fee of $120.00 includes three days of workshops, meals and snacks. Meals are breakfast, lunch, the banquet on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Donna Auwaerter from Sacramento, California: Ignited, Excited, Delighted: Sparking and Celebrating Our Values Donna is a counselor, teacher, musician multi talented woman and brilliant workshop presenter. She has been a mover and shaker in VRI as a member on the Board of Directors, creator of strategies, musician, composer of songs, and author of publications in The Bridge, Facilitations, and The Values Realization Journal.

Sally "Cecil" Crosiar from Canandaigua, New York: Alive and Kicking - On Purpose Sally is past President of VRI and was instrumental in initiating VRI outreach via computer communication and the VRI web site. She says, "I am in the evolution business - helping people and organizations grow as a presenter, personal coach and freelance writer. My life purpose is to demonstrate that Healthy people make a difference." Publications include: Finding the Love of Your Life, and My Uncle Dave.

Dr. Ronald Friedman from Huntington, New York: Upstream Swimming in a Downstream World: A Sid Simon legacy in the real world of public schools. Dr. Friedman is born and raised in New York. He has risen through the public school system to be Superintendent of the Great Neck Public Schools, New York and Vice President of Nassau County Council of School Superintendents. Sharing Sid's legacy, he teaches school administration and school law at Hofstra University and C. W. Post-Long Island University. He is also an author of articles for national journals on administration and school law.

Dr. Howard Kirschenbaum from Rochester, New York: Celebrating Two Octogenarians - Sid Simon, Carl Rogers and Values Realization Dr. Kirschenbaum is Professor Emeritus and former Chair of Counseling and Human Development, Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development, University of Rochester, New York. He is author of over 20 books in education, psychology and history. He has been a leader in values education, grading reform, and the Humanistic Education movements. He is a leading interpreter of the life and work of Carl Rogers.

Dr. Hanoch Mc Carty from Sacramento, California: 80 is the New 50 or, What we've learned from Sid Simon Dr. Mc Carty is a prolific author, member of National Best Speakers, and long time supporter of VRI and well known within the Values and self-esteem communities. He is a humorist who though power point presentations combines education, enlightenment, and entertainment to give viewers new perspective on life.

Dr. Cynthia Myers-Morrison from New Hope, Pennsylvania: Challenging Body, Mind, and Spirit Cindy is a student of life with multiple degrees and 34 years of Dr. Sidney Simon's work. She describes herself as a "thriver who wants others to share in the experience of strategies that work and access the means to eliminate challenges that have kept you from thriving." She asks the question, "Are you willing to be free of what hinders your body, mind, and spirit? If not now, when?"

Enjoy music by John Simon from New York and Diana Neri from Philadelphia. Their voices have lead singing at many workshops. Their songs and cd's have held memories of workshops and friends and have allowed regression into those memories and love.

An international conference Speaker, Clinical Ethicist, Nurse Educator, and author of Clinical Ethics & Values: Issues & Insights in a Changing Health care Environment Caring for Yourself ~ Caring for Others: The Ultimate Balance.

Michael Wenger from Mitchville, Maryland: Talking and Teaching About Race in a Values Context is a founding member and past President of VRI. Published booklet: Racism in America for VRI. Serving as Outreach and Program Development for President Clinton's Initiative on Race, he was responsible for the development and implementation of programs designed to broaden public support for President Clinton's vision of One America in the 21st Century. Founder and Director of NABRE (Network of Alliances Bridging Race and Ethnicity), a program consultant with the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, the nation's pre-eminent research and public policy analysis institution focusing on issues of race. He is also adjunct professor in the Department of Sociology, specializing in race relations, at The George Washington University.
